Alissa is a Licensed Social Worker who believes everyone can benefit from having an empathetic advocate in their corner. Alissa has spent the past thirteen years working with children, teens, and young adults in a number of creative, therapeutic, and educational settings. Alissa is passionate about helping clients find and utilize the strengths and creativity that they already have in order to discover their own unique path to healing and thriving. She utilizes solution focused brief therapy, expressive therapies, play therapy, movement, mindfulness, practicality and humor to help clients move towards their goals. Alissa has experience with trauma based behavioral struggles, navigating life transitions, suicidal ideation and self harm, adoption and foster care, ADHD, grief and loss, and embracing identity.
When not working with clients, Alissa can be found training for her next backpacking or climbing trip, watching the latest superhero, fantasy, or action movie, or dancing to some local live music with her partner.
