Alan D. Watson II graduated with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Dayton in Ohio. Alan’s career as a football player at the University of Dayton cultivated a passion for working with athletes with mental health issues. He believes therapists should always be their most authentic selves and create an open and compassionate environment for clients to express themselves. He finds fulfillment in helping his clients build high self-esteem and confidence by discovering their inner strengths and passions. Furthermore, Alan has experience in supporting clients with Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, Bipolar, and Psychotic disorders and uses a wide range of therapeutic interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Alan’s counseling philosophy integrates a person-centered approach and strength-based therapy to help clients from all walks of life thrive.
