EMDR Therapy
Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy is a cutting-edge, evidence-backed treatment approach for treating trauma, anxiety, depression, and a wide range of mental health disorders. EMDR therapy often involves you talking about your trauma while moving your eyes back and forth to reprocess the traumatic experience.
Art Therapy
Art therapy is an effective way to communicate what’s going on inside when you’re struggling to find the right words to express how you’re feeling. You don’t need to be an artist to enjoy the benefits, and it’s not the finished product that matters. Discover healing and expression with art therapy.
Group Therapy
Find group therapy near you that is catered to your unique demographic, history, and mental health needs. Group therapy provides a nurturing space to heal and grow in community with others.
A.R.T.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a relatively new, evidence-based psychotherapy technique, is used to treat trauma, such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex traumas, as well as anxiety and depression. Through the use of directed eye movement along with facets of other well-known modalities, ART has been found to relieve trauma more gently than many other methods and in a shorter amount of time. During the process, clients may be guided to visualize instances related to their trauma, or symbolic representations of them, as well as how they wish the event had occurred, all while following a practitioner’s hand for proper eye movement. This process helps to move the traumatic memories into long-term memory, ultimately releasing the trauma and leading to greater peace.
TF-CB Therapy
Trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) is an evidence-based psychotherapy or counselling that aims at addressing the needs of children and adolescents with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other difficulties related to traumatic life events. It requires the involvement of at least one caregiver.
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
EFT or Emotional Freedom Techniques, commonly referred to as “tapping” is an energetic healing modality that uses the meridian system of our body (same as acupuncture but without the needles). This is a powerful, safe, effective way to lessen and eliminate emotional charges from memories and situations that may be causing us distress in a variety of ways.
We provide support for a wide range of mental disorders and common mental health issues at our Ellie Mental Health Clinic in Birmingham. No matter your concerns, your compassionate Ellie therapist will provide you with the non-judgmental care you deserve.
