Kendra is a clinical social worker who provides a person-centered approach to help clients sort through grief, life transitions, manage anxiety and depression, and regulate mood swings. Kendra can guide you into ridding yourself of actions that make difficult to move forward such as people pleasing, insecurity, perfectionism, unmanageable anger, or using drugs and alcohol to cope. Kendra applies methods from ACT, CBT, and DBT to help folks elicit awareness to their thought processes, emotions, and actions. Kendra strives to help people reach a state of persistent calmness and increase their capacities to handle difficult thoughts, emotions, and situations. Kendra also enjoys working with people who have been impacted by someone else’s mental health or addiction complications. Kendra has worked with 100s of people and families through inpatient psychiatric hospitals, group outpatient programs, and individual therapy. Working in these settings has created a robust understanding of mild to severe mental health diagnoses. Therapy looks different for everyone, Kendra’s approach is designed is for folks who want to untangle their thoughts, feel their emotions, and uncover the “why” behind their struggles with mental wellness and unhelpful behaviors.
