Sarah is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and works with ages 12 and up. Empathy, grace, and compassion are at the forefront of her work. She is a firm believer that the safer you feel with your therapist, the easier it is to make changes and live your happiest life. She likes to sprinkle some humor into session to help therapy to feel comfortable, after all, laughter is medicine!She is an EMDR provider and uses a trauma lens in her work, understanding that trauma affects the way we see and experience the world. She works with those experiencing mood disorders, anxiety and panic attacks, self-esteem concerns, attention difficulties, acute stress, PTSD, grief, and life changes among other things. Before Ellie she has spent time working in an assisted living and transitional care unit setting, school social work setting, integrated mental health & non-profit mental health, which allows her to help understand and navigate some complex systems and settings. In her free time Sarah loves cycling, plants, puzzles, reading, and spending time with her family and dog. She also enjoys watching bad reality tv, and can be found at her local garden center every weekend when the weather is nice!
