Lindsay Rahkola, MSW, LICSW

Psychosis IOP Therapist

Lindsay joined the Ellie team in March 2023. She is a compassionate therapist who uses a strengths-based approach with authenticity, empathy, validation, and humor to aid in the healing process. She feels it’s an honor to work with clients and holds a great appreciation of their individualism, strength and resiliency. Lindsay began her career as an inpatient social worker and moved to a position as a therapist for children, adolescents, and their families, working in a hospital setting for about 8 years. Prior, Lindsay completed her field work within a school-based program for adolescents in a juvenile detention center, or on probation, and worked with children and adolescents receiving special education services. Since 2018, one of Lindsay’s passions and specialties has been working with young adults who experienced their first episode of psychosis. Lindsay currently holds a hybrid role and splits her time between lead therapist within the Young Adult Psychosis Intensive Outpatient Program and clinic therapist for adults with various diagnoses, often related to anxiety or depression.

During her free time Lindsay enjoys spending time with her teenager and 2 dogs, reading, cooking, walking, kickboxing, and traveling. The mountains in Colorado hold a special place in her heart!
