Passionate advocate for healing and growth. Katie began as a therapist in Illinois specializing in supporting children and families who have been adopted following her graduation in 2019. After being there for a few years, Katie took on more leadership roles by providing both individual and group supervision to her teammates. When it comes to her approach Katie always leads with a trauma-focused and trauma-informed approach. Katie has experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, adoption, relationship issues, family conflicts and trauma. Katie will support you in exploring your history and uncovering patterns you may not even be aware of so that you can begin to have more control of your emotions and be excited about your life and relationships again. Katie knows from years of experience working with individuals that you can make substantial changes in your life. If you are ready to do the work, you will be amazed at how capable you are of exploring parts of yourself you never knew existed.
Following her relocation to NC in 2023, Katie began providing therapy for individuals virtually but noticed herself missing the support of a team and group around her. This is what led her to finding Ellie! From the moment she got in touch she felt and appreciated the honesty, openness, and care of every member of the team. She is so excited to be a part of the thriving, supportive environment of Ellie-Charlotte and dedicated to making a positive impact, both professionally and personally.
In her free time, she cherishes every moment spent with her loving husband and 2 dogs. Exploring their new home and city. Trying new foods, going to concerts and taking in all the sports Charlotte offers. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. Let’s embark on this journey of transformation together!
