Famari has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M-Central Texas and has worked in the mental health field as a case manager and behavioral health technician for over 8- years. She found her calling to become a Social Worker later in life and obtained her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington in December 2022. Her experience extends from working with survivors of abuse, inmates in the Texas prison system and patients in an inpatient hospital setting. Famari has experience providing mental health treatment and case management services to children, adults, and families.

She has extensive training working with Veterans and is proud to say she is a Veteran herself. She has also worked with a variety of issues, including grief and loss, trauma, and adjustment/life changes and has experience collaborating with professionals on multidisciplinary teams in a variety of settings and working with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Famari utilizes a client-centered approach. She believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship and values the importance of building rapport with clients. She supports clients finding a therapist they feel is a good fit for them based on their individual treatment needs and goals. Famari believes in the inherent resilience of the human spirit and embraces a strengths-based lens when working with individuals who have experienced grief and loss as well as other challenges and stressors. She hopes to help you engage and enhance your capacity for introspection, reflection, and self-awareness to better understand and navigate your past, present, and future.
