Vanessa earned her master’s degree in clinical social work from Boston College after studying psychology at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Vanessa specializes in trauma and has significant experience working with interpersonal and family trauma, sexual and domestic violence, and individuals in crisis. Vanessa also enjoys working with those struggling with depression, anxiety, life transitions, family dynamics, and self-esteem/self-efficacy. Vanessa works with individuals 13 years old and up. She utilizes a number of therapeutic modalities which include: CBT, Internal Family Systems, Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, and Somatic Therapies. Vanessa believes no two individuals are the same and each client deserves an individualized approach.

Vanessa believes that while life’s challenges can impact our lives, they do not define us. She uses a model of empowerment to work alongside her clients as they navigate their struggles and grow through them. She strives to build a strong therapeutic relationship with each client so that they feel safe and comfortable.
