Suzanne Jasberg, MD

Vice President of Psychiatry

Dr. Suzanne Jasberg is the Senior Director of Adult Psychiatry at Ellie Mental Health and a board-certified psychiatrist. Following the completion of her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry, she obtained her medical degree and completed her psychiatric residency at the University of Minnesota. Her work in the field of psychiatry has been recognized with several accolades, including the 2019 Psychiatrist of the Year award from the Minnesota Psychiatric Society and repeated acknowledgment as a top doctor/rising star by Minnesota Monthly and MSP Magazine.

Recognizing the pressing issues of physician morbidity and mortality and the challenges that physicians often encounter when seeking mental health care, Dr. Jasberg initiated “Ellie Empower”, a specialized physician access clinic. This initiative underlines her dedication to enhancing access to mental health care and reducing stigma within the physician community.

Dr. Jasberg’s clinical interests extend to the treatment of First Episode Psychosis and Schizophrenia Spectrum Disorders. She has been awarded grant funding for her work in first episode psychosis as early as her first year out of training. Driven by a commitment to quality and evidence-based care, she takes particular interest in curriculum development and the creation of comprehensive, scalable programming curricula. She is enthusiastic about building “Ellie Express” IOP services.

She has equal passion for the use of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), which is currently FDA approved for the treatment of Major Depressive Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Smoking Cessation. She has built multiple TMS programs across the twin cities and is a Certified Brainsway Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Provider.

Away from her professional life, Dr. Jasberg enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, cooking, and enjoying the tranquility of Minnesota lakes during summer.
