Supritha is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and who completed Medical School in India and subsequently received her Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Illinois. She has gained clinical experience by working at various community health centers and clinics in India and the United States. Her multicultural background, medical training, and extensive clinical experience allows her to understand the impact of medical conditions, cultural issues, and socioeconomic challenges on mental health.
She incorporates various evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (Tf-CBT), Mindfulness-based techniques, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Gottman Method. She offers in person and telehealth for couples and individual therapy sessions for children, teens, and adults.
She has worked with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, ADD/ADHD, school refusal, grief, PTSD, stress management, relationship conflicts, gender identity issues, and phobias. She understands it can be challenging to deal with symptoms of anxiety and depression, and provides her clients with a safe, non-judgmental, and empathetic space to discuss issues. She likes to spend time with her loved ones and is very active outdoors. You can find her trying a new craft, watching a documentary, or trying a new recipe.
