Shu Lee, LPCC

Therapist

Hi, I’m Shu – i.e. Sue, the silent H is misleading! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) with my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Colorado Denver. I believe that healing is cultivated in a compassionate, nonjudgmental space, and I aim to foster a supportive environment where clients feel heard, empowered, and understood along their mental health journey.

My approach is rooted in empathy and authenticity, integrating elements of Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Parts Work, and Creative Arts. Additionally, using a Polyvagal lens, I aim to help clients tune into how their bodies respond to trauma and stress, so they can feel grounded and ready to explore the deeper thoughts and emotions that come up in the therapy room. I am passionate about working with teens transitioning into adulthood and with adults as they navigate life’s challenges, pursue mental wellness, and explore identity and spirituality.

Outside of the therapeutic space, you can find me crocheting and crafting, playing music and attending concerts, camping and spending time in nature, and enjoying video or board games with my friends and family!
