Pronouns: she/her

As a counselor, Sarah’s priority is to foster a safe and accepting environment so clients can empower themselves and thrive. Sarah graduated with her Master’s in Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and has provided therapy in both college counseling and agency settings. She enjoys helping clients navigate various challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, identity exploration, life transitions, and stress management. Sarah works with teens, young adults, and adults and operates from a client-centered lens ensuring therapy is tailored to each client’s needs. She uses individualized evidence-based approaches that include (but are not limited to) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Internal Family Systems. With a background in art, she also likes to incorporate expressive techniques to help clients explore a wide range of emotions and experiences.

Ellie Mental Health and Sarah share an important value- authenticity! She brings this value into her sessions and meets clients wherever they are in life. Ellie’s emphasis on accessible mental healthcare is something Sarah holds close to her heart – often times, marginalized communities especially struggle with obtaining quality mental health services. Sarah is particularly passionate about serving these communities with a focus on our LGBTQ+ community.

Outside of the office, Sarah likes drawing, playing video games (Stardew Valley is a favorite!), and snuggling with her dog!
