My belief is that individuals are experts in their own lives and already possess the strength and resilience needed to create better outcomes for themselves and their circumstances.
I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from Regis College and bring over 24 years of experience in bodywork, specializing in the physiological effects of trauma and chronic mental health challenges on the mind and body. This work has taught me the importance of mindfulness and the value of connecting the emotional, mental, and physical aspects of well-being to achieve balance. In other words, what happens in your mind also impacts your body.
Working from this perspective, my goal is to support individuals holistically in their personal ‘process, ’incorporating my understanding of the body-mind connection and my training as a social worker. I specialize in supporting trauma survivors, individuals with substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, grief, and existential concerns.
Therapy can be hard work, but I value the role humor can play in the therapeutic process as a tool for growth. I am deeply compassionate in helping clients recognize and embrace their capacity for growth and healing.
