My name is Robbie Almonaci (He/Him), and I’m a bilingual (English and Spanish) Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, working under the supervision of Dr. Melissa Gaa, LPC-S. I’m also a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor Intern (LCDC-I). I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, substance use, trauma, relationship issues, low self-esteem, major life stressors, and personal growth. I primarily work with individuals aged 16 and older.
I take a holistic view of each client, considering adverse childhood experiences, thought patterns, behaviors, emotions, and personal goals for treatment. My foundation is rooted in a person-centered approach, with the aim of creating a safe, healing therapeutic alliance. I also incorporate techniques from REBT (Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and trauma-informed care.
My professional background is diverse. I’ve worked in blue-collar environments, university settings, residential treatment facilities, and emergency management. These experiences have shaped my understanding of people from many walks of life and deepened my commitment to meeting clients where they are.
I look forward to connecting with you and supporting your journey toward healing and growth.
