Rachel Dinger, LMSW

Therapist

Rachel is originally from the Washington, D.C. area and earned bachelor’s degrees in Human Development and Sociology, along with an additional major in Psychology, at Virginia Tech. She moved to Nashville in 2020 to pursue graduate studies and went on to earn a master’s degree in clinical social work. Rachel was first drawn to the field of therapy through her studies in sociology, where she became intrigued by the societal paradox of being both different and alike, connected and lonely. She views therapy as a powerful tool for understanding and navigating these complex human experiences. Rachel has primarily worked with children, families, and individuals experiencing substance issues. Her clinical approach is strengths-based and integrates various modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy, family systems therapy, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care. Her goal is to make therapy a welcoming and purposeful experience where clients feel truly seen and empowered to reach their personal goals. Outside of her work, Rachel enjoys spending time outdoors at dog parks, sports games, and the pool. She also loves reading, crafting, and being with family and friends.
