Olivia Porter, LPC-A

Therapist

As a woman of color and a therapist, I am passionate about providing affirming, anti-racist care
to clients of all backgrounds. I approach therapy with warmth, authenticity, and a deep
commitment to creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel seen and heard. I believe
that healing happens in relationships, and I strive to create a space where you feel safe, heard,
and valued. My approach is person-centered and trauma-informed, meaning I meet you where
you are, without judgment, and work alongside you to navigate life’s challenges.
I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan, specializing in Interpersonal
Practice in Integrated Health, Mental Health, and Substance Abuse. My experience includes
working with teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, family conflict, and life
transitions. I am especially passionate about helping teenagers build the skills they need to
navigate life’s challenges with confidence—whether they are managing emotions, adjusting to
new life transitions, or learning strategies they’ll carry into adulthood. Additionally I am
experienced in supporting families in strengthening communication and connection, particularly
when navigating complex or high-conflict dynamics. I know that therapy can feel intimidating,
whether you’re new to it or have tried it before, and I work to make the experience approachable
by bringing empathy, humor, and authenticity into our sessions.
