Nyna Sethi-Jones, LPC

Therapist

Starting therapy is kind of like opening a good book—you may not know the plot yet, but you’re here for the growth, the lessons, and maybe a few plot twists. I’m here to help you write the next chapter with curiosity, compassion, and maybe a little laughter along the way.

I’m Nyna Sethi-Jones (she/her), a Licensed Professional Counselor with years of experience working with children, tweens, teens, and adults in both school-based and private practice settings. My style is friendly, creative, and real—I show up as my full self in session, and I welcome you to do the same. Whether I’m sitting criss-cross on the floor with a five-year-old or deep in a boundary-setting conversation with a twenty-something figuring out adulting, I create a nonjudgmental space that’s grounded in trust and empathy.

One of the first things I like clients to know is that I’m always on your side—even when the work is hard. I’m not here to “fix” you; I’m here to help you see your strengths, understand your patterns, and gain tools to navigate whatever life’s thrown your way. I’ll meet you where you are (literally and emotionally), and together we’ll figure out what’s getting in your way and how to move through it. I believe humor can be healing, and you’ll often hear me use it in session—because sometimes the best way to unpack a tough moment is with a little laughter.

My clinical focus is broad, but deeply informed by years of working in schools and with families. I support clients with anxiety, ADHD, autism spectrum challenges, school and behavioral issues, depression, gender identity exploration, and LGBTQ+ affirming care. I also work closely with those navigating addictions and other compulsive behaviors, relationship issues, and parenting stress. I especially love helping clients who are learning how to take care of themselves better—whether that’s learning emotion regulation, establishing boundaries, or practicing self-forgiveness.

I’m passionate about supporting neurodivergent individuals, helping families manage transitions, and empowering young people to develop self-awareness and confidence. I also have a heart for multicultural care and love working with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds. As a therapist, I celebrate the intersections of identity and hold space for complexity.

You might find me using play therapy in session with a young client, using narrative therapy to help a teen rewrite a self-defeating story, or guiding a couple through marital and parenting frustrations so they can show up more calmly for themselves and their family. I use a range of evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT, play therapy, solution-focused work, and client-centered care—all tailored to what you need most. Sometimes we dive into deep reflection, sometimes we talk about how to handle tomorrow’s test or meeting, and sometimes we celebrate small victories that felt impossible last week.

Above all, I hope my clients leave therapy with greater insight, emotional resilience, and a stronger connection to themselves. I want you to feel empowered, more regulated, and more equipped to navigate the hard stuff. I want you to see your worth clearly—even on the days you’re struggling. And I want you to laugh sometimes, even while doing the work.

If you or your child is looking for a therapist who’s down-to-earth, creative, and fully human, I’d love to work with you. Let’s build something meaningful together.
