Nivedhitha Balaji, LGPC (she/her), is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor in DC with a master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from The George Washington University. She believes in therapy being a space for people of all ages to build confidence and feel empowered to advocate for their mental and physical wellbeing.
Nivedhitha works with young adults and adults in navigating anxiety, depression and trauma. She focuses primarily on transitional populations who are struggling to adapt to new environments or figuring out how to transition from one stage of life to another.
She has experience in working with people who require support in bridging transitions that involve vocational support and mental wellbeing. Most of her work is grounded in Narrative Therapy. She combines practical skill building with current life situations to help re-author one’s narrative.
Nivedhitha tailors therapy to each person’s strengths and goals. She believes that reauthoring one’s narrative is a collaborative process. She creates an authentic and safe space where looking into one’s journey feels more like a healing process.
She feels honored to support clients in working towards meaningful change and the journey to re-discovering themselves.
