Nate Benjamin, LMHCA

Outpatient Therapist

Everyone faces challenges in their life and are able to handle them on most occasions. However, when these difficulties begin to disrupt our ability to live our everyday life, they become troublesome. As your therapist, we will work collaboratively to overcome these obstacles. Having worked in community mental health over the last year, I have helped clients work through symptoms ranging from depression and anxiety to psychosis and mania. I have experience working with teens and children but have primarily worked with individuals 18+. My areas of specialty are working with grief, emotional regulation, addiction, and anxiety/overthinking. While my interventions are eclectic in nature and include CBT, motivational interviewing, and person centered approaches, I align most with psychodynamic theories. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, fishing and hunting, and taking my dog Hogan for walks (which often include dips in the river). I am beyond excited to start my next chapter with Ellie Mental Health and look forward to continuing to serve the Columbus community.
