Natalie Amos is a resident in counseling under the supervision of Heather Nickerson, LPC, NCC, CET, CCTP, as well as a provisional art therapist. She earned her Masters in Art Therapy and Counseling from Eastern Virginia Medical School and uses an integrative therapy approach with an emphasis on Person-Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Natalie believes that treatment should work for the individual and is dedicated to collaborating with clients to create a therapy experience tailored for them. Natalie also believes in the healing power of creating and enjoys using art to help clients reach their goals.
Having worked with a wide range of age groups from children to adults and treating a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, grief, PTSD, and stage of life challenges, Natalie appreciates that each individual has a story and deserves to feel seen. She is also passionate about providing trauma informed care to clients and has experience providing therapy services to people who have experienced incarceration, domestic violence, and severe illness. She is committed to supporting clients to work toward their goals and improve their wellbeing.
In her free time, Natalie enjoys visiting parks and museums, making art, and watching quirky movies and tv shows.
