Misael is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, he is dedicated to assisting others through the unexpected challenges of life in an often humorous and empathetic way. Misael’s approach to counseling incorporates a Solution Focused stance that seeks to move from fixating on the problem at hand towards identifying potential solutions to improve our quality of life.
Additionally, as an openly queer (gay) cis-gendered male, Misael encourages and advocates for authenticity and being your genuine self. His passions include assisting others through creating a safe, inclusive, affirming environment that allows people to be themselves uninhibited. Misael seeks to help others improve their mental health through recognizing sources of strength, discovering their life worth living goals, and shifting their outlook on life toward a more neutral place that promotes balance.
In his free time, Misael enjoys trying different restaurants and styles of cuisine. He is also a world traveler (in his mind) and aspires to become immersed in different countries and ways of life. Misael also enjoys watching various television shows most notably RuPaul’s Drag Race as well as supporting local drag artists.
