Michelle is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who received her degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. Michelle has worked in mental health for over 20 years, working in various settings; from community mental health, hospitals, and other outpatient mental health settings. Michelle works with individual 17+, addressing anxiety, depression, PTSD, mood disorders and substance abuse. Her therapy sessions focus on building positive self-esteem, developing motivation for change, and recognizing how past traumas affect our current behaviors. She also has a passion to work with BIPOC individuals to assist in feeling more connected to their culture. She also Michelle believes that everyone can make the necessary changes in their lives. She is present and compassionate with her clients as a way to develop a positive and trusting relationships.
