Melissa is an empathic and client-focused Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 25 years of experience in the field. After earning her undergraduate degree at The George Washington University, she completed her M.Ed. and Ed.S. degrees in mental health counseling at the University of Florida. She is dedicated to providing compassionate therapy to individuals of all ages, ranging from children and adolescents through older adults. Melissa likes getting to know her clients holistically and is interested in the mind-body connection. She’s skilled in working with clients going through life transitions, as well as people experiencing situational and chronic mental health struggles. She aims to make her clients feel comfortable, guides them to self-awareness, and empowers them to utilize evidence-based tools and strategies to achieve their personal goals. Her favorite past-times include roller skating, attending the orchestra, and spending time with her rescue dog, Oog.
