Marianne Tan transitioned into the mental health field after a career in the animation industry, inspired by her own experiences in therapy. She specializes in supporting individuals healing from trauma and rebuilding a sense of identity, particularly following complex trauma and religious or spiritual abuse.
Marianne is a Phase Two Brainspotting clinician and focuses on brain-based, trauma-informed therapy that helps resolve experiences held in the nervous system. Brainspotting offers a gentle way to process experiences that may feel stuck, overwhelming, or difficult to put into words, supporting deep and lasting healing.
Her therapeutic approach is grounded in the belief that thoughts, emotions, and behaviors make sense within the context of lived experience. Her work is person-centered, compassionate, and nonjudgmental, integrating modalities such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), sand tray therapy, and mindfulness.
Marianne is committed to creating an affirming space where clients feel safe, supported, and empowered as they move toward healing, clarity, and reconnection with their authentic selves.
