Maria Tata, MS, is a pre-licensed mental health therapist who received her bachelor’s with Southern New Hampshire University majoring in Psychology with a concentration on child and adolescent development. She then received her master’s degree in professional counseling from Grand Canyon University in 2021. Maria has experience working with children (ages 6-12), adults, and seniors. She has experience working with clients with depression, anxiety, PTSD, phobias, ADHD, trauma, anger management, self-esteem, bereavement, loss, and bipolar. Maria also has experience working with those with Traumatic Brain Injuries and developmental delays. Maria has utilized various therapeutic modalities including Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, motivational interviewing, solution-focused, exposure and response therapy, art therapy, play therapy, and strength-based techniques.

Maria is a strong believer that one size does not fit all when it comes to therapy. Maria will take the time to individualize treatment, create a safe environment that is free of judgement, and let her clients be in the driver’s seat for their own treatment, going at their pace. Maria is known to be easy to talk to, understanding, and empathetic to others.
