Madison Cowell, Resident in Counseling

Therapist

Madi is passionate about helping people of all ages, from young children to adults, feel understood and supported. She draws from evidence-based approaches including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Madi values the opportunity to support clients who are processing trauma and navigating how past experiences continue to affect them today. She often helps clients connect with and nurture their inner child, release patterns that keep them feeling “stuck,” and find ways to create a life that feels safe and meaningful. In her work with children and teens, Madi uses creative methods like play and art to help them explore emotions and manage life changes. With adults, she integrates IFS and ACT to process both past and present experiences, deepen self-understanding, and create space for healing and growth. Madi believes counseling should be a safe place where clients can reconnect with their values, embrace their authentic selves, and take meaningful steps toward a more fulfilling life.

In her free time, Madi enjoys thrifting, reading, and spending as much time as possible outside!
