Lisa Cheren, LMHC Intern

Intern Therapist

Lisa is interning with Ellie Mental Health while she pursues her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Merrimack College. A retired attorney, Lisa decided to pursue a second career in counseling because of her strong interest in helping others through difficult times. She is dedicated to providing her clients with a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment so that they feel heard. While she draws from Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy, she believes that each person is unique and that therapy should be tailored to a client’s specific needs.

Lisa is excited to work with all age groups, and to be able to help those who are feeling anxious or depressed, struggling with a life transition or the demands of work or school, experiencing relationship issues, or simply hoping to feel less overwhelmed by life.

She is dedicated to helping you explore your emotions and experiences, gain insight, develop coping strategies, and move towards healing and meaningful change. Her goal is for you to find balance and create a life that feels more manageable and fulfilling.
