Lillian Phelps, Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern

Pre-licensed Therapist

Lillian is a National Board Certified Counselor and Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands.

She works with high achieving adults and teens who are used to holding it all together but are quietly overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure of what comes next. Many of her clients are navigating major life transitions, grief, or shifts in identity, including the deep personal grief that can come with fertility challenges or the loss of what you expected life to look like. She also supports teenagers dealing with academic pressure, social stress, and emotional overwhelm.

Lillian blends evidence based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) with deeper insight oriented work, so clients don’t just feel better, they understand why they feel the way they do and how to move forward with real clarity.

Before becoming a counselor, Lillian spent years in senior executive leadership and she brings that real world context into her work. Her sessions are grounded, practical, and free of fluff. She knows what it costs to always be the one holding things together, and she creates a space where you don’t have to.

Lillian provides an inclusive, affirming environment for clients of all backgrounds and identities, including members of the LGBTQIA+ community. You don’t have to carry it alone.
