Lauren Strailey (she/her) is an Art Therapist and Licensed Associate Professional Counselor who practices from a person-centered and trauma-informed orientation with the integration of artistic and creative expression.
Lauren is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and integrates elements of play therapy and narrative therapy into her clinical work with children, teens, and adults. Her professional experience includes supporting clients navigating anxiety, depression, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, life transitions, relationship challenges, and eating disorders. Prior to her work at Ellie Mental Health, Lauren worked as an emotional support counselor for high school students and led therapeutic social skills groups for autistic youth. Lauren is very passionate about providing services to those who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community and is committed to being culturally competent and social justice oriented.
Outside of work, Lauren enjoys painting, sewing, playing drums, and collecting vinyl records.
