LaShell West is a Clinician and a passionate advocate for those who need guidance in their lives. She has a deep commitment to helping her clients navigate through difficult times and empowering them to take control of their lives. LaShell holds a Master’s degree in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University and a Master’s degree in Kinesiology, specializing in Sport Psychology from Bowling Green State University. LaShell obtained a Bachelor’s in Psychology from The Kentucky State University. LaShell’s therapeutic philosophy is rooted in Cognitive Therapy and Solution-Focus Brief Therapy, which focuses on problem-solving and practical solutions.
Within experience in the field, LaShell has worked with individuals and athletes from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and ages. She focuses in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues and skill performance. LaShell’s approach to counseling is client-centered, meaning that she tailors her treatment plans to the unique needs and goals for each individual. In addition to therapeutic work, LaShell is also an advocate for mental health awareness and community outreach. She is involved in various community organizations and provides education and resources to those in need.
LaShell is dedicated to creating a safe and welcoming space for her clients to explore their challenges and develop the tools and skills necessary to overcome them. She firmly believes that everyone has the potential to heal and grow, and she is honored to be a part of that process.
