Kiran received her B.S. in Psychology with a Minor in Sociology from the University of Houston. She later attended Prairie View A&M and received her M.A. degree in Counseling. Kiran is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and has been working in the mental health and substance abuse field for about 10 years. She has worked in both inpatient hospitals and outpatient settings doing person-centered individual and group therapy. She also experience working with all demographics including children, adolescents, adults and families that struggle with many different issues. Kiran is a board-approved and provide supervision to LPC-Associates and certified in EMDR which is a different approach than traditional therapy.
Kiran’s approach to clients is simple, meet them where they are. She uses different types of theoretical approaches to make you feel the most comfortable. Kiran believes you know what you want and need, and it’s her job to help you get there. She is not here to judge you or lecture you, she is simply the support and guidance you may need on your journey.
Kiran likes to tell her clients that therapy can mean many things to different people. Some use therapy to rebuild after a traumatic experience, others may feel stuck and need some guidance, others are unheard and would like to change that. Whatever therapy means to you, she will support you by meeting you where you are.
