Kim is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student completing practicum and working under clinical supervision at Ellie Mental Health. She works with adults, including survivors of domestic violence and older adults, who are navigating trauma, anxiety, loss, and life transitions.
Kim’s approach is trauma-informed and client-centered, informed by DBT-based skills for trauma that support emotional awareness, coping, and safety. She focuses on creating a therapeutic space that feels respectful, grounded, and responsive to each client’s needs.
Kim volunteers with Alternatives to Violence and has completed their domestic violence education training program. She also brings past experience as a hospice volunteer, which informs her comfort working with grief and the emotional challenges that can accompany aging.
Kim values offering therapy as a place where clients can feel empowered and supported as they move toward healing at their own pace.
