Kiandra is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate, Supervised by Dr. Carrie Allen LPC-S. She has been a Master’s level Mental Health Professional since 2016. Kiandra graduated from McNeese State University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and then graduated from Prairie View A & M University with Master of Arts degree in Counseling in 2016 and is now pursuing a Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas Wesleyan University. She has experience working in various levels of care that include residential, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization and community care. Kiandra specializes in working with individuals who are experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, life-transitions, racial trauma, sex trauma and exploration, & couple and familial issues. Kiandra utilizes Person Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and an eclectic use of therapy methodology specific for each individual, couple or family. Her passion is helping women & couples become more sexually liberated and helping the BIPOC community with familial, couple and individual concerns so that they may break generational cycles and live beyond stereotypes placed upon the BIPOC communities by historical societal constructs.
