Katy received her B.S. in Psychology from Boise State University and her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University. She has experience working with all ages experiencing a variety of mental health struggles including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, high-functioning Autism, relationship challenges, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, and more. She is open to working with adults, couples, and families.
Katy strives to make all clients feel safe, supported, seen, and heard during their time with her. She aims to create an open, honest, and empathetic relationship with each client while attending to their individual needs as each person is different. Her main approaches include but are not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She aims for a holistic approach to ensure that every part of a client’s life is considered and addressed during their time together in order to best serve the client.
