Therapist

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a Masters Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC-I). In my practice, I provide individual therapy to adults ages 21 and older. I believe in meeting a person where they are at in the current moment and working towards goals they have in mind. I believe in a judgment-free, empathetic, and compassionate environment. I believe in allowing and supporting individuals to become their most authentic selves. My passion is to guide others to empower themselves. For the past 13 years, I’ve worked in the addiction and mental health field in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, and community-based programs. I graduated from Cambridge College with a master’s degree in education-mental health counseling with a concentration in trauma and addiction counseling. My background and specialties include substance use/addiction, trauma, depression, anxiety, grief/loss, anger management, and stress management. My clinical approaches include person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, problem-solving therapy, and mindfulness-based stress reduction. In my spare time, I enjoy being by a campfire, spending time with my dog, writing poems, training jujitsu, and spending time with my friends and family. I also have over 10 years of my own personal experience in recovery.
