Katarina Perez, LMFT

Therapist

Katarina Perez is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a degree from Nova Southeastern University. Her journey as a registered behavior therapist specializing in working with children on the spectrum and their families, inspired her transition to systemic therapy for couples and families. Katarina recognizes the intricate connection between life stressors and relationships, understanding that external pressures can influence our behavior, sometimes diverting us from how we aspire to treat others. Katarina specializes in working with teenagers, couples, and families. Her therapeutic approach is rooted in the belief that even the slightest change can lead to a significant transformation. Katarina reports, “I have a profound passion for supporting couples and blended families, recognizing that there’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to family dynamics. Katarina meets clients where they are, embracing the uniqueness of each family. I advocate for a holistic approach, acknowledging the interconnectedness of the mind and body in the therapeutic process. My goal is to work collaboratively with you to foster positive changes and strengthen your relationships.

Some modalities of therapy, which I often find myself practicing-based on a custom individualized approach include solution focused brief therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy , Brief Strategic Family Therapy, as well as Gottman couples therapy, and TF-CBT. I also hold a certification as a mindfulness-based stress reduction practitioner for teens.
