Kai is a Licensed Master Social Worker with a deep-rooted passion for working with children and teens (ages 2-18). Kai believes every child has a story to tell that deserves to be heard – sometimes they just need a little help to find their voice. Advocacy and empowerment go hand-in-hand in paving the way for lasting, positive change, and Kai offers encouragement and guidance so each client is able to take an active role in their therapeutic journey.
Kai strives to create a safe space for clients, one without judgement, criticism, or expectations. Through person-centered and evidence-based approaches, Kai engages clients in sessions that are guided to meet individualized needs. Kai emphasizes their use of trauma-informed care as a critical aspect when working with children and teens who have undergone adverse childhood experiences. Kai is also passionate about supporting LGBTQ+ youth.
Kai has four cats (Atlas, Perseus, Hades, and Ares), and when the furry beasts are not causing chaos, Kai enjoys relaxing with them while reading a good book.
