Julia (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Associate Counselor who graduated from TCNJ’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program. She loves working with youth, adolescents, and young adults, especially LGBTQ youth and college students. Julia specializes in helping with anxiety, depression, trauma, suicidal ideation, self-harm and more. Her eclectic approach focuses on meeting clients where they are, using techniques from CBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, narrative therapy, mindfulness, supportive therapy, positive psychology, and DBT. Julia emphasizes validation, active listening, and unconditional positive regard, always highlighting clients’ strengths and growth. She also incorporates feminist theory to consider the social, cultural, and political contexts of her clients’ experiences.
