Julia Melton, LPC-MHSP was born and raised in Nashville, TN. She has a master’s in clinical mental health counseling from Austin Peay and is a licensed professional counselor. She has six years of experience supporting survivors of sexual trauma and is passionate about working with adults to reduce shame and empower sexuality and identity. Trained in EMDR and certified in hypnotherapy, she loves to incorporate humor and creativity into healing. When she’s not focusing on sex-positive therapy, she can be spotted in the wild listening to metal music, drawing, watching horror movies, or attempting to keep Biscuit (her dog) from doing crime. If you are unsure or fearful about therapy, I encourage you to really take to heart the immortal words of Bob Ross: “let’s get crazy, what the heck.”
