Josh Hunold is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience in providing client-focused and strengths-based care. Through his empathetic, dynamic, and direct approach, he’s guaranteed to acknowledge you for your success in seeking and engaging with support. Therapy doesn’t have to be so rigid – sometimes an individual benefits the most when they have someone in their corner. Ranging from talk therapy, psychoeducation, and emotional education to specific modalities, such as Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), he is equipped to meet you where you’re at and collaborate with you. Together, we will challenge the stigma regarding mental health.
He has earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University at Buffalo and a Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University. After utilizing his undergraduate degree by working in the fashion industry in NYC, he sought a career shift that would be more fulfilling and not feel like “work”. He is proud to say that he’s found that by working in mental health. Together, you and Josh will challenge life’s obstacles with an open mind, willingness, and open communication.
When he is not providing care he is often engaging in self-care: valued dog-dad time, shopping, cooking, sailing, Mahjong, and taking his Vespa for a spin.
