Jorge earned his Bachelor’s at Lamar University in English and Psychology and his Master’s at Lamar University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. His history includes working at children’s advocacy centers as a bilingual therapist providing trauma-focused individual sessions to victims of abuse and offering support to siblings and non-offending caregivers. 

He utilizes a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Trauma and Grief Component Therapy for Adolescents (TGCT), Multidimensional Grief Therapy (MGT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Problematic Sexual Behavior – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (PSB-CBT), and Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). 

He offers in-person and telehealth individual therapy sessions for children and adolescents (7-18) and adults. He works with clients struggling with PTSD, grief, anxiety, depression, stress, and ADHD. He has worked with various populations and provided services in Spanish to the Latinx community. In his free time, he enjoys drinking coffee while reading a book or doing some writing, playing video games, or spending time with his cat.
