Janet is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor who brings warmth, compassion, and authenticity to her work. She understands that starting therapy can feel like a big and sometimes overwhelming step, and she’s committed to creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel genuinely heard, understood, and empowered.
Raised in New York City, Janet was surrounded by a wide range of voices, cultures, and experiences that sparked her early passion for connecting with people. Her professional journey has taken her through the fields of criminal justice, military advocacy, corporate America, research, and social justice—each experience deepening her understanding of the complexities people face in their everyday lives.
Today, Janet works with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and attachment-related challenges. She has supported clients across the lifespan, from young children to older adults, and has a special passion for working with military service members, veterans, and their families as they move through major life transitions.
Janet’s therapeutic approach is person-centered and trauma-informed, grounded in cognitive-based techniques and enriched by mindfulness practices. She sees therapy as a collaborative process—one where clients feel safe to explore, grow, and make meaningful changes at their own pace.
Outside of her work, Janet finds joy in taking long walks with her two dogs, experimenting with new recipes, and gathering with family and friends. She believes therapy, much like a shared meal, should be nourishing—offering comfort, connection, and space for growth.
Janet feels honored to walk alongside her clients and is deeply committed to helping them find resilience, healing, and joy along the way.
