Jake is a Licensed Professional Counselor who draws on nearly 20 years of experience supporting individuals and families through life’s most challenging seasons.
In addition to his counseling experience, Jake spent a decade in pastoral care and another seven years as a hospital chaplain in a level-1 trauma center. While there, he had a specialized focus in trauma, oncology, neurology, & NICU. These roles shaped his ability to support clients facing grief, loss, medical crises, worry, and end-of-life concerns with compassion and clarity.
Jake primarily uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with individuals, teens, and groups. Jake is also trained in Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), incorporating family systems and neuroscience to support couples.
