Starting therapy can feel like stepping into a whole new world—and I’m here to help make that world feel safe, fun, and full of possibility. Whether you’re a kid navigating big feelings, a teen trying to figure out who you are, or a young adult balancing life transitions, I strive to create a space that feels like yours: calm, creative, affirming, and real. Therapy with me isn’t about fixing who you are—it’s about discovering who you’ve always been and helping you feel confident showing up as that person, every single day.
Hi! I’m Ga’Nae Collins, a therapist with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a passion for working with clients who think and feel deeply. My style blends warmth with playfulness, compassion with clarity, and a little sparkle of creativity in everything I do. I’m direct, open, and genuinely curious about who you are—beyond the symptoms or struggles that may have brought you to therapy. Whether we’re using art, movement, or a deep conversation to connect, I’m here to see the whole you and help you do the same.
I specialize in supporting clients with ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, and emotional regulation challenges. I love working with kids and teens who are learning how to manage their feelings, build friendships, or express themselves more clearly. With adults, I often help with identity exploration, building confidence, and navigating life transitions. Many of my clients are neurodivergent, BIPOC, or part of the LGBTQIA+ community—and I’m committed to providing culturally affirming, trauma-informed care that meets you where you are.
My background also includes supporting individuals through grief, stress, burnout, and low self-esteem.
I use a mix of client-centered, CBT, DBT, expressive arts, mindfulness, and play-based therapy—tailoring our work to your age, interests, and unique goals. That might mean drawing out big emotions with crayons, playing games that build social skills, using music to process pain, or practicing self-reflection through journaling or storytelling. I also incorporate holistic and spiritual practices when clients find that helpful, and I’m always guided by your voice and comfort level.
My goal is for you to walk away from our time together feeling empowered, emotionally aware, and deeply grounded in your sense of self. I want you to feel like you’ve got tools in your pocket, confidence in your choices, and a growing sense of clarity about your future. Whether it’s setting boundaries, developing coping skills, or just learning how to talk about feelings, I’ll be right there cheering you on (sometimes literally).
Clients often connect with my love of movies, streaming, books, social media, video games, and music—and if you’ve got a favorite character or show, I want to hear about it! I bring my full, authentic self into the therapy room, and I invite you to do the same. I’m also a big fan of incorporating laughter into the process; sometimes healing requires tears, and sometimes it just needs a good meme and someone who really listens.
At the end of the day, I believe therapy is about connection. If you’re looking for a therapist who will honor your identity, challenge you with care, and help you build a better relationship with yourself—you’ve found the right space.
Let’s grow, explore, and thrive—together.
