Gabrielle Schmittou, MS

Gabrielle “Gabe” Schmittou is a Master’s level counselor working to continue to grow as she works towards attaining her counseling license (LPC-MHSP track). She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from The University of Tennessee-Knoxville in 2018. She also received a minor in Africana Studies during her time on Rocky Top. She completed her Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Austin Peay State University in 2022. During her education, Gabe gained experiences working with the youth in various different roles. During her internship, she worked towards growing as a trauma therapist, as well as learning different tools that can be helpful with aiding clients on their therapy journey. She chose this profession through her own therapy journey, and is striving to offer the same levels of empowerment and acceptance that she received during her healing process. She specializes in Trauma, Play Therapy, Children, Personality Disorders, Grief, and Expressive therapies.
