Erika Cleaves is a dedicated social worker, advocate, therapist, and leader with more than 20 years of experience in the social services field. She currently serves as the Clinic Director at Ellie Mental Health in Avon and Greenwood, Indiana.
Erika earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Illinois in 2009 and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Indiana in 2014. Throughout her career, she has held a wide range of roles, including Guardian ad Litem, Therapist, Mentor, Case Manager, Supervisor, Director, and Adjunct Professor. Across each position, she has remained deeply committed to supporting both her clients and professional colleagues.
Her clinical expertise includes working with school-aged children and adults impacted by trauma, depression, anxiety, school-related challenges, and histories of abuse or neglect. Erika is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and has previously been credentialed as a CSAYC provider, supporting youth with sexually maladaptive behaviors and those affected by sexual abuse.
Erika is deeply committed to helping individuals navigate challenging circumstances and finds great fulfillment in celebrating the progress and successes of those she serves.
