Elyse believes that the most important part of the therapy process is building a trusting relationship with her clients. Balancing the perfect blend of humor, compassion and accountability, clients feel safe and comfortable opening-up about areas of life that can be difficult to talk about. This style and approach has contributed to why teens and young adults gravitate to Elyse for support and guidance. She has experience working in a variety of environments, including domestic violence shelters, substance abuse programs and clinic-based settings. She uses a person-centered, CBT solution- focused framework, while considering the impacts of trauma and multicultural influences. Elyse has a strong passion for destigmatizing mental health and helping others to find hope during challenging times. Her happy place is on the beach with her pup, Etta, collecting countless amounts of shark teeth.
