Liz is a licensed mental health counselor and registered play therapist with a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas. With over 15 years of clinical experience, Liz has worked with a diverse range of individuals in both residential and community-based settings. She addresses a wide variety of issues, including trauma, depression, mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, adjustment disorders, and high-conflict family systems. While Liz specializes in working with children and adolescents, she also brings her experience to adults and seniors. Believing that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process, Liz tailors her approach to meet the needs of each individual. She works from a strength-based and trauma-informed perspective, integrating various therapeutic modalities, such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and play therapy. Liz’s down-to-earth, person-centered style emphasizes collaboration, safety, and a touch of humor, empowering individuals to navigate their challenges and discover resilience through the healing process.
