Elena takes a compassionate, analytical and direct approach to counseling, while incorporating mindfulness and meaning making into sessions. Elena offers both supportive counseling as well as goal oriented/behavioral modification counseling. Her areas of focus include grief work; coping with cancer (patient and/or loved ones); life transitions, such as going to college, career changes, retirement; living with a chronic illness; family planning, to include, perinatal and postpartum and fertility treatment; loss of meaning and purpose; and insomnia. Elena graduated from Florida State University with her Master of Social Work degree in 2008, is a Qualified Supervisor for Registered Clinical Social Work Interns, and is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Central Florida’s MSW Graduate Program.
